About the Publisher - Dr. James C. Anyike

James Chikaodili Anyike is an American of African descent, an author, publisher, agapist-love life coach, online content creator, and retired pastor in the United Methodist Church.

 

He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. His name at birth was James Anthony Brame, which he legally changed in 1989 to honor his African ancestry.

 

Anyike is the founding Producer and Host of Soul Liberation Radio and Soul Liberation Station, which aired on various radio stations and social media sites from 1995 to 2022. Anyike has worked as the Director of Chicago PUSH for Excellence, with Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr; as an Educational Consultant for African American Images, with Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu; and as an Assistant Director for Dr. Ndugu T'Ofori-Atta, Director of the Religious Heritage of the African World research project at the Interdenominational Theological Center.[1] 

 

He has served as a United Methodist Pastor from 2004 to 2022, at Christ United Methodist Church in Gary, Indiana; The Way in Indianapolis, Indiana; and Scott United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.

 

In 2021, Anyike founded the Agapists United Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana. The institute serves to promote "Systematic Agapism" (a form of Black love) as an answer to many of the problems confronting the Black community.[1] 

 

Anyike leads Popular Truth Publishing, LLC, which he founded in 1990, and has published more than 80 authors since 2003. He is the author of ten books. 

 

Anyike completed his doctoral studies in 2020, earning a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

 

He was initiated into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Zeta Phi Chapter, Spring 2021.
